Search Cass County Traffic Cases
Cass traffic and ordinance records use the same Indiana access stack as other Cass court records. Start with Indiana MyCase for case lookup. Use the Case tab if the citation number, case number, or cross-reference is known. The Citation Number field is an official MyCase Case-tab field, and the Court dropdown can narrow results to Cass-related courts when available. IF is the Indiana infraction case code. OV is the ordinance violation case code.
MyCase is for case search and court status. It is not the payment screen. For payment, use Indiana ePay or the payment link from the Cass County Clerk page when the case is eligible. The Clerk page says online payments are accepted for traffic and ordinance violations, civil case payments, and criminal court costs and fines, with a nominal service fee. The same page warns not to use the court payment link for property taxes.
- Search MyCase by citation number, case number, cross-reference, or name.
- Use the court, status, and filed-date filters when multiple results appear.
- Open the case summary and review court, status, events, charges, bonds, documents, and financial sections.
- If the case is payable, search Indiana ePay by case number, UTT, driver license number, or name and date of birth.
- For certified court copies, contact the Cass County Clerk instead of relying on a screen print.
Cass County Traffic Fields
The ePay field set is separate from the MyCase case-search field set. ePay is meant to find payable court costs, fines, and traffic or ordinance payments. If the case is in collections, requires court appearance, is not payable online, or cannot be matched by the entered data, ePay may not allow payment even when the case can be viewed in MyCase.

The PayNearMe source is relevant to payment locations listed with jail and payment services, but ePay remains the court payment search route for payable traffic cases.
Payment channels should not be confused with court case search, certified court copies, or BMV driver-history records.
Cass County Traffic Records Show
A Cass County traffic court record is a court case file or case summary. It can show what was filed, which court is handling the matter, whether the case is open or closed, whether hearings or events are scheduled, and whether payments or balances appear. The exact fields depend on case type, public-access rules, and what the court has entered.

Note: MyCase and ePay both warn that electronic information is not the official court record.
Pay Cass County Tickets
Paying and contesting are different routes. ePay can handle a traffic or ordinance case only when the court record is payable online. Some cases require appearance, are in collections, need a clerk or court action, or cannot be paid through the public portal. The Cass Clerk can answer payment category and record-copy questions, but legal advice about whether payment is an admission or how a plea affects a license should come from counsel or the court's official instructions.

- If payment is available, search Indiana ePay or use the Clerk payment route for eligible traffic and ordinance violations.
- Read the ePay result for payable balance, online eligibility, collections messages, and failed or canceled payment messages.
- To contest, follow the citation or court notice and contact the Clerk or court before the appearance deadline.
- If failure to appear occurred, check MyCase for warrant, bond, status, and hearing changes.
- Use the BMV driver-record channel for points, suspensions, or certified driving history.
Cass Traffic vs BMV
The court traffic case and the state driver record are separate records. A court case answers what happened in Cass County court: citation number, charge, court, hearing, disposition, and fine or cost details. A driver record answers what the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has on the driver's history, license status, suspensions, citations, violations, and entries affecting the driver's record.

The BMV record is the correct source for license status and driver history, not a substitute for the Cass court file.
Cass County Traffic Fees
Traffic case payment amounts depend on the court record, charge, costs, and payment eligibility. The research provides copy and certification fees from the Clerk and the official BMV driver-record fee. Cass Clerk payment policy also says no personal checks are allowed. Accepted payment types listed by the Clerk include certified checks, cashier's checks, credit cards, and cash.

Cass Traffic Public Access
Traffic and ordinance case access follows Indiana court-record rules. Indiana Administrative Rule 9 governs public access at the courthouse and remote access to court records. Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records give procedures for redaction, exclusion, and access requests. The Indiana Access to Public Records Act applies to public agency records generally, while court records also follow court-specific access rules.
Use the Clerk when a Cass County traffic court record is older, missing from MyCase, not downloadable, needs certification, or requires courthouse inspection. Use the BMV when the problem is points, suspension, official driving history, or a driver record error. Use the police agency when the problem is a crash report or law-enforcement incident report.
Cass Traffic Crash Reports
Crash reports are not traffic court records. The Cass County Sheriff's Office links crash reports to BuyCrash. Logansport Police has its own records channel for police reports and background checks, with email, in-person, and fax submission options. Records staff contact the requester when records are ready for pickup and payment. A crash report may explain the incident, but it does not replace the MyCase traffic case or the BMV driver record.
If a crash led to an infraction, ordinance matter, misdemeanor, or felony, the court case is still searched through MyCase. If the case involved impaired driving or another criminal charge, the case may be handled as a criminal matter rather than only a traffic ticket, and the full case file belongs with Cass County criminal court records.
Cass County License Issues
License points, suspensions, reinstatement status, and certified driver history are not corrected through the Cass traffic case page alone. The Indiana BMV says the driver record shows current and resolved suspensions, citations, violations, and other entries that affect the record. Unsatisfied judgments and delinquent child-support orders from a court must be settled with the court; the BMV cannot address those court actions.
Commercial drivers should treat traffic records with care because a court result can affect a commercial license or employer reporting even when the court case seems minor. The research did not identify a Cass-only CDL diversion rule, so avoid assuming defensive-driving or deferral options apply. Use the court notice, Clerk, BMV, or counsel for the specific ticket.
Federal Traffic Records
Most Cass County traffic tickets belong in state or local court systems, but federal court records are separate. Cass County is in the Northern District of Indiana, South Bend Division. Federal filings, federal criminal cases, bankruptcy matters, and federal civil cases are searched through PACER or the federal court's CM/ECF systems, not through the Cass Clerk.
The PACER source is the federal case-record portal for matters outside Cass County traffic court records.
Use PACER only when the matter is federal; ordinary Cass traffic citations belong in MyCase, ePay, the Clerk, or BMV channels.
The PACER CM/ECF lookup source helps locate federal court filing systems.
CM/ECF lookup is useful for federal routing, but it does not replace Indiana ePay or MyCase for Cass traffic records.

Bankruptcy records are federal records and should not be mixed with Cass County traffic citation, ePay, or BMV searches.
